02How to approach the Daytona 660
The Daytona 660 has no damping clickers. That isn't a dead end — it means your setup levers are geometry, springs and pressure, and they're powerful ones.
- Preload and ride height are your primary tools. Setting sag correctly is not a preliminary step on this bike, it is the setup.
- Tyre pressure has more effect here than on any adjustable bike, because it's the only damping-adjacent variable you control. Log it every session.
- If the bike is still wrong with sag and pressure correct, the honest next step is springs matched to your weight, or a cartridge/shock upgrade — not more fiddling.
03Where to start — the baseline
Whatever the Daytona 660 offers, the order of operations is always the same. Start from the OEM clicker baseline (count every adjuster from fully closed), set tyre pressures, then set sag before you touch a single damping clicker.
- Tyre pressure first.It moves the chassis more than any clicker. Start from a known cold target — see the track day tyre pressure guide.
- Then sag. On a supersport / middleweight machine, aim for roughly 30–38 mm of front rider sag and 25–30 mm at the rear, then verify against the manual. Full method in the sag guide.

04What you can't tune on the Daytona 660
Knowing where the Daytona 660stops adjusting saves more time than any clicker chart. These are the fixes this bike can’t make with a screwdriver — and what to reach for instead:
- No front damping adjustment — fork dive and front-end harshness have to be managed with preload, fork height, spring rate and tyre pressure.
- No rear damping adjustment — squat and rear grip come from preload, ride height and pressure alone.
05Match the symptom to the adjuster
